PAUL COTE is the geographic information systems (GIS) specialist at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is responsible for designing and maintaining the school’s environment for working with spatially referenced data. Mr. Cote also teaches introductory and advanced GIS courses, delivers GIS-specific lectures and demonstrations for studios and other courses, and collaborates with other faculty on research projects having requirements for spatial-data management. His own research involves the integration of large numbers of discrete three-dimensional CAD models within a server-based GIS database. Mr. Cote has an M.C.P. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, ten years of experience in land surveying and commercial cartography, and a B.A. in geography from Indiana University.
