Carlos shares overall responsibility for the performance of the firm, focusing on strategic and creative integration of research, design and technology. His work is focused on strategic and creative integration of research, design and technology for the development of engaging and innovative user centered interactive experiences. He has led multiple multi-disciplinary team projects for leading global organizations in diverse industries including consumer electronics, education, and entertainment. Carlos has been successful in integrating human centered design research and insights with a clear understanding of our client’s goals in order to develop successful innovative solutions for diverse products and services.
Recent projects include Next Generation UX/UI for mobile devices based on Regional Emotional Values, as well as the development of a Design Strategy for Integrated UI solution for 3 mobile product categories: Digital Cameras, MP3 Players and Smartphones. Other examples include research and design of UX/UI strategies for Future Social and Networked T.V., as well as design of Interactive strategies integrating Mobile Technologies for education, entertainment and cultural organizations.
He has been faculty member and guest lecturer on digital media and interactive technology at several design and architecture schools in US and Latin America. He recently published a book under the “Design & Technology Series” from the Harvard Graduate School of Design on his research on modeling strategies and design innovation (more).
Carlos holds a Doctor of Design degree (2007) in Design & Technology, and a Master in Design Studies (2003) in the Digital Media concentration, both from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He also received a Graduate Diploma in Multimedia Design (2002) and a Bachelor of Architecture (1996), both from Universidad de Los Andes – Bogota, Colombia.
