Professor David Sanderson, who trained and worked in architecture, has been working in development and emergencies for humanitarian aid agencies and donors in over 30 countries for over 20 years. Recently David has led agency response reviews to Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines (2014), the Haiti earthquake (2014), and the Pakistan floods (2013). David is a Director of the Centre for Development and Emergency Practice (CENDEP) at Oxford Brookes University. He teaches regular courses in Switzerland, France, and Spain, is a member of several funding and NGO committees, and has published papers on urban disasters and the role of aid agencies.
