Realizing Public Sector Projects and Development Initiatives

In the face of dwindling revenue, and the challenging economic reality at the various tiers of government in Nigeria, this program will sharpen and hone a leadership vision for Nigeria’s future. Led by distinguished Harvard Executive Education faculty, participants  identify critical gaps and issues, and work through potential solutions and models for both short-term and long-term development, including for needed infrastructure projects and initiatives. Four government policy sectors will be addressed: Housing, Health, Education (and Youth Development) and Agriculture.

The leadership component focuses on vision crating, generation of ideas in these key sectors and implementable policy solutions. The finance component provides various finance options and models drawn from the faculty’s extensive global experience, including how to address funding gaps for public sector projects and those that fall within the public-private partnership space.

The New Frontier

Africa is a powerful new frontier in global emerging markets, and  Nigeria, as a country, with about a third of the continent’s indigenous population, is critical to realizing Africa’s and its own potential. Providing exceptional governance through visionary leadership is therefore essential for the continent’s future–and critical to development among Nigeria’s leaders.
