Philip Parsons, principal, Sasaki Associates, Watertown, MA. Philip founded Sasaki Strategies seven years ago as the firm’s strategic planning practice focusing on issues of academic, financial, and physical resource allocation in higher education. Now as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Design at Sasaki, Phillip is responsible for leading the effort to integrate the ideas of Sasaki Strategies into the diverse work of the firm across all of our market areas. The Sasaki Strategies group works across Sasaki's disciplines to support an integrated approach to client decision-making, supported by custom-designed, client-specific visualization tools that allow for dynamic, fast-paced analysis and representation of alternative strategic and design scenarios. Philip brings more than thirty years of experience working in educational institutions where he played an innovative leadership role in all areas of academic administration, from curriculum development to financial planning, physical planning and fundraising, including a lengthy tenure as Dean for planning in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. He was educated at Cambridge University and Harvard University, and has taught campus planning workshops at Harvard and MIT.
