Carly Tortorelli recently joined the Intuitive Surgical IT team as Director, Workplace Technologies supporting the Facilities & Real Estate organization. In her role she leads the technology transformation and harmonization efforts across the facilities and real estate business, supporting capabilities including space strategy planning, construction management, facilities management, real estate portfolio management, workplace employee engagement, and environmental health and safety. Her initial focus will be evaluating technology transformation opportunities to support Intuitive’s growing business needs; laying the foundation to help Intuitive make long term, informed business decisions. She is an active participant in the IT long range planning process to shape the technology roadmap for this area.

Carly Tortorelli was previously Vice President of the Strategic Advisory Services team at Saltmine. She was responsible for building and improving organizational performance through global workplace strategy and technology and designing and implementing operating models to improve workplace optimization processes and efficiencies. She consulted with clients across all verticals on agile space methodology, data-driven strategies, and communications support on cultural changes. She also created comprehensive workplace technology plans inclusive of vendor management and coordination, communications, scheduling, data collection and analysis, space management and work streams.

Previous to her Saltmine role, she was Senior Vice President of Workplace Technology at Impec Group where she was responsible for a large number of existing clients and an in-house and outsourced technology team. She oversaw sales, implementations, and the selection of appropriate software products in the IWMS vertical. Prior to Impec group, Carly was the long-term COO of one of the largest IWMS providers in the U.S.
