Program Interview
A recent participant of our Real Estate Development and Real Estate Finance programs, we asked Jake about his experience:
How did you hear about the program, and why did you decide to attend?
I heard about the program through my employer. I decided to attend the course to increase my knowledge of the fundamentals of real estate development. Working in construction means I often work with developers and understanding their job, I felt, would only increase my potential for success.
How would you describe the program’s value to someone who’s considering it?
Regardless of your occupation, I believe this course is highly valuable. If you are interested in development or work with developers, this course will teach you fundamentals that you can use in your daily life.
What impact has the program had on you since you attended?
This program has given me a much deeper understanding of development and what my co-workers must deal with daily. I am now able to understand proformas and other reports that pertain directly to the financing of the project, which my department will then go on to build.
How was the online learning experience?
The online learning experience was pleasant. It afforded me the ability to work normal hours and complete the course at the same time.
Do you have any other comments to add about your experience?
I enjoyed the course, the professor, and my fellow classmates. It was great having insight from developers around the world.
