Jay Anderson is a multi-award-winning buyer’s agent, property advisor, and business owner, recognised nationally in Australia for his leadership in the investment space. With more than a decade of experience, he has guided investors across both residential and commercial sectors, developing strategies and practical outcomes.
He is the back-to-back winner of Business of the Year at the Property Investment Professionals of Australia Awards (2024 & 2025) and the 2025 winner of Real Estate Business of the Year at the Sydney Hills Business Awards.
Jay recognised that the process of buying real estate in Australia was heavily weighted in favour of vendors, leaving buyers with little professional support. He set out to shift this imbalance by representing and acting independently for the Buyer, ensuring that his clients’ interests remain at the forefront of every transaction and that they secure the best possible outcome.
Drawing on a strong academic foundation and multi-generational industry experience, Jay continues to shape the property investment landscape through a client-first approach, pioneering strategies, and a commitment to raising professional standards within the industry.

Jay took International Real Estate Strategies and Deal Negotiation with us in September 2025, and we asked him a few questions about his experience after. This was Jay’s second time at Harvard, after taking Advanced Negotiation Skills in 2023.
Why did you choose to sign up for this program, and how was your experience?
I wanted to broaden my perspective on real estate beyond the Australian market and sharpen my skills in deal-making at an international level. The program was engaging and very hands-on, combining theory with practical case studies and negotiations. It was a chance to step back from day-to-day business and really refine how I approach strategy and decision-making.
Did you find the program to be practical?
Yes, absolutely. The tools and frameworks we worked through are directly relevant to live deals and investment decisions.
I’ve already found myself applying ideas from the course when evaluating opportunities, particularly around structuring transactions and navigating complex negotiations.
It wasn’t just academic, it was something I could bring back to the office and put into action right away.
How was learning alongside fellow professionals from around the world?
The global mix of participants was one of the highlights for me. We had industry leaders from eleven different countries, each with unique market dynamics and experiences. The conversations in and out of the classroom were just as valuable as the lectures. I built strong relationships with people I wouldn’t normally cross paths with, and those insights into how real estate deals and negotiations are approached in other parts of the world were eye-opening.

Tell us a little about your plans for the future.
I’m currently working on an exciting new venture in the property investment space. The focus is on creating long-term value by aligning investor capital with strong, resilient sectors.
The program gave me fresh ways of thinking about structuring opportunities, risk mitigation and building international partnerships, and I’m excited to carry that forward as the business takes shape.
