Mishaal is a member of the AMDP Class 25, and took several electives prior to his first AMDP term. He answered a few questions of ours in June 2024 after taking Presenting with Confidence and Designing Your Leadership Path: Advanced Communication Strategies to Stand Out in The Age of AI on campus.

You came to Cambridge for both programs. How was your experience, and would you recommend that others take both programs back-to-back?

Having already read Carmine’s books “The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs” and “The Bezos Blueprint,” I promptly signed up for his courses at Harvard when they became available. Over four days, Carmine and Venessa delivered incredibly valuable sessions packed with practical strategies for applying these skills in my everyday life. The two programs complemented each other seamlessly, and I’m pleased I had the opportunity to attend both.

You also took our program on affordable housing online in February 2024, noting that you were interested in learning more about sustainable models for affordable housing. How was your experience in the program, and how have you been able to apply what you learned so far?

David’s extensive experience in affordable housing spans the globe, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover his work in Saudi Arabia, which resonated with my own challenges. His insights provided me with valuable perspectives on international best practices, including successful case studies and those less so. I’ve particularly benefited from his expertise in financing solutions and policies tailored to affordable housing.

Earlier this year you were admitted to Class 25 of our Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate (AMDP). Why did you choose to apply to this program, and what are you most looking forward to when it begins in July?

Even with my experience in Saudi Arabia’s nascent real estate development sector, I am seeking to engage with a global network of real estate peers, establish a solid understanding of the development process, explore emerging opportunities driven by technology, and stay abreast of shifting market trends.
