AMDP Payment Policy

Program Fee

The $49,500 AMDP program fee covers tuition, course materials, and some meals. The AMDP program fee does not include tuition for electives.

Upon acceptance to the program, you will receive an invoice by email for the AMDP program fee.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $2,000 is due within 10 days of acceptance. Full payment of this deposit confirms your intention to enroll in the program.
  • Payment of the remaining AMDP program fee balance may be paid along with the deposit, and is due within 60 days of acceptance (or upon receipt of the invoice if admission is within 60 days of the start of the program). Receipt of full payment of the AMDP program fee secures your seat in the AMDP program with the incoming class.

Payment methods accepted include credit card, electronic check/ACH, and bank wire transfer, and are subject to the following conditions:

  • Wire Transfer Fees – Please note that you are responsible for all wire transfer fees charged by the originating or intermediary banks.
  • Wire Transfer Delays – Wire transfers, particularly ones sent internationally, may take up to two weeks to reach our office. Emailing a copy of the bank wire transfer confirmation to Harvard GSD Executive Education is advised.
  • Returned Electronic Checks – If your electronic check payment is returned unpaid for any reason, you will be notified by email and will have 10 business days to make payment by credit card or wire transfer. Failure to do so will result in your removal from the program.
  • Credit Card Chargebacks and Invalid Cards – If you request a credit card chargeback or use a credit card without the cardholder’s permission, you will be removed from the program.

Failure to make a payment by the invoice due date will result in removal from the program and forfeiture of the non-refundable deposit.

Deferment of Start Date

If you have been accepted to the program and determine that you cannot attend Term 1 with the incoming AMDP class, you may request a one-year deferment to join the next AMDP class. A request for deferment of start date must be submitted in writing more than 30 days before the program start date. If the deferment request is granted, any payments made to date will be applied to the next AMDP class.

For one-year deferments, the payment schedule is as follows:

** Please note that your balance may increase if GSD Executive Education increases the AMDP program fee for the new AMDP class. However, if your AMDP program fee is received by June 30th of the current year, the current AMDP program fee applies and you will not be responsible for any increase in the AMDP program fee.

An applicant will only be permitted one one-year deferment. If you elect deferment to the next AMDP class, you must attend all terms with that class, or you will forfeit all payments previously made. There is no cancellation allowed on deferred admissions.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $2,000 is due within 10 days of deferment request (if not previously paid) which will be applied to your balance for the next AMDP class.
  • The balance** of the AMDP program fee will be due by January 31st of the following year.

Deferment of Completion

If you have attended one or more terms of the AMDP program, you are expected to complete the program on schedule with your AMDP class. If you have extenuating circumstances and need to defer completion of the program, you may request a one-time one-year deferment to complete the program with the next AMDP class.

A request for deferment of completion must be submitted in writing more than 60 days before your next scheduled program term. If the deferment request is granted, your remaining terms must be completed with the next AMDP class or your tuition will be forfeited. There is a charge of $1,000 for any approved deferment of completion requests to be paid within 10 days of approval of the deferment.

Withdrawals must be submitted in writing more than 30 days before the program start date, in order to be eligible for a refund of a portion of the AMDP program fee. The date of the withdrawal notification will determine the amount of the refund.

  • Withdrawal notifications received more than 30 days before the program start date will receive a refund of the AMDP program fee minus the $2,000 non-refundable deposit. The deposit is not eligible for refund, regardless of the withdrawal date or reason.
  • Withdrawal notifications received 15 to 30 days before the program start date are subject to a fee of 50% of the AMDP program fee.
  • Withdrawal notifications received within 14 days of the program start date are subject to full payment of the AMDP program fee.
